List of known issues and plans for localization quality improvement

Dear Creators,

To provide a better gameplay experience, the inZOI team has continuously identified and addressed various issues throughout the development process.

The list below contains issues that the team is already aware of and fixing.

inZOI supports multiple languages to help you enjoy a deeper and more immersive life simulation experience.

However, we are aware that the current localization quality may be lacking.

Throughout Early Access, we will continue our efforts to improve the localization quality through ongoing LQA (Localization Quality Assurance) processes.

We kindly ask for your understanding and welcome your continued feedback.

1. Known Issues

[ver 0.2] 3/28 00:00 (UTC)

  1. Presets saved before Early Access may intermittently not appear, though they are still located in the Documents folder.

  2. Some objects may intermittently disappear  when resetting the property to its default state.

  3. In certain situations, characters may become unable to perform actions.
→ This may occur when crafting furniture at the furniture workbench, when not under police detention, or when Zoi is detained on an empty lot.
→ If this occurs, using Emergency Rescue may not resolve the issue. Please restart the game and try again.

  4. After saving while driving, resuming the game may prevent driving or exiting the vehicle, or cause the vehicle to disappear.
→ In this case, please use the Emergency Rescue feature.

  5. Same-sex relationships are not possible with other Zois in the city.

(1) Build Studio (10 issues)

  1. When placing Property Presets saved in Build Studio, parts of the properties may be cut off if the preset is larger than the actual property size in the city.

  2. Even if the Property Preset size matches, some furniture may disappear or shift in position upon placement.

  3. Customization may not apply properly to the end roof surface of Half Hip Roofs.

  4. When windows are placed too close to interior walls, they may appear black or not display correctly. To fix this, try leaving a small gap between the window and the wall when placing it.

  5. If there is no ceiling from the second floor and above, ceiling-mounted objects such as lights may not be placeable. This can be resolved by adding a floor on the upper level to create a ceiling.

  6. If only part of the Floor was customized (not the entire area), it may disappear when moving the building or property.

  7. When using My Texture on Floor Tiles the horizontal or vertical flip function may not work properly.

  8. When placing Handrails and Partial Walls on Platforms, they may sink into the platform.

  9. When placing Handrails, several issues may occur—for example, handrails with different designs may not connect properly, or a ceiling may be generated when all walls in a room are made of handrails.

  10. Customization may not apply correctly to certain objects.

(2) Character Studio (2 issues)

  1. You may experience clipping with certain outfits when using customized body types.

  2. When hovering over standard outfits for children or adults, the wrong Canvas thumbnail may occasionally appear.

(3) City Play (8 issues)

  1. When a single Zoi remarries multiple times, some family members may disappear.
We recommend avoiding repeated remarriage and, if necessary, proceeding only when there are no children involved.

  2. Motions such as holding a baby may sometimes appear awkward or overlap unnaturally, affecting the parenting experience.

  3. In certain animations, the right arm may briefly jerk or snap.

  4. When moving, a character may take unexpected paths such as going around to find a proper route or cutting through terrain.

  5. Occasionally, distant objects may become the interaction target.

  6. When entering City Edit Mode by clicking Zoi's job location in the 'Career' App on the phone, you may not be able to pause the game.

  7. The remaining duration of an Emotion may occasionally be displayed incorrectly.

  8. When returning to Simulation from City Edit Mode, the Map Icon may occasionally remain visible and not disappear.

(4) Canvas (2 issues)

  1. Occasionally, deleting a preset may not remove its folder from the directory path.

  2. For presets saved before March 23, the author name may incorrectly appear as “inZOI.”

2. Future Improvements

(1) Localization Quality Improvements

While inZOI supports multiple languages, we are aware that the current localization quality may vary.

As we move into Early Access, we will focus on improving the quality of localization, including accuracy, consistency, and terminology standardization, while continuing to refine the user interface and fonts.

We understand that a highly immersive life simulation experience requires high-quality localization.

To that end, we will deliver ongoing updates to enhance the quality of localization.

You can check our localization progress by going to Settings > Game Options and opening the Language dropdown menu.

(The percentage shown in the image below is for reference only. Actual progress will be displayed in-game once Early Access begins.)

(2) Game Stability and Optimization

Due to the unique characteristics of Unreal Engine 5 and the complexity of city-scale simulation, inZOI currently requires high system specifications.

To address this, we are preparing a feature that automatically applies optimal settings based on your hardware.

We will also continue optimization efforts to ensure a smoother and more comfortable experience for a wider range of players.

(3) Ongoing Feedback Implementation

We will prioritize fixing bugs and quality-of-life upgrades, while continuing to update and improve features to enhance overall content integrity.

All your feedback is invaluable to us and thus will be carefully reviewed by the team.

We will continue to collect feedback through the following channels, and we kindly ask for your active input.

As we prepare for the launch of Early Access, we acknowledge that inZOI is still a work in progress, with many areas in need of improvement.

With your kind love and support, we will double our efforts in providing a better gameplay experience.

We truly appreciate your continued support and feedback, and we look forward to welcoming you into Early Access with sincere gratitude.

Thank you!

The inZOI Team.
